Recent Interviews

This section highlights original, recent interviews with leading jazz musicians and jazz educators who have worked with Jamey Aebersold on the Aebersold Play-A-Longs, and continue to use them in their practice and teaching.

These new interviews explore the remarkable history of the Aebersold Play-A-Longs—the majority of which were recorded in a makeshift studio in Aebersold’s basement in New Albany, Indiana— and explain why they endure as an important teaching and practice guide for jazz students and jazz artists worldwide.
